Visitors can access the Museum in Thebes using the following means:

  • By car: Use exit to Thebes from the E75 National Highway Athens-Lamia (about 80 Km from Athens).
  • By Bus: KTEL Thivon. Athens terminal (+30-2108317179), Thiva Terminal (+30-22620 27511). The Buss terminal in Thiva is approx. 1000m from the Museum.
  • By train: Athens-Thiva (Larissa Station, Athens). The Thiva train station is approx. 1000m from the Museum. Tel. 14511, 06:00-23:00.
  • Taxi in Theva: +30-22 620 27077. Fare to/from Buss Terminal/Train Station to the Museum approx. 4.00-5.00€.

The stone wall around the Museum with the wrought iron door of the first incarnation of the Museum still welcomes the modern visitor. The cypress shown in the 1910 photo still casts its refreshing shadow on the century old courtyard of the Museum.
